ABOUT JOHANNESBURG BIBLE COLLEGE
Johannesburg Bible College (JBC) is an interdenominational college offering men and women practical training in understanding and teaching the Bible through classroom-based courses. Our courses are for any Christian who would like to know and serve God better through a deeper understanding of the Bible and being equipped to teach it well to others. Johannesburg Bible College (JBC) is a registered non-profit organization (056-365-NPO) and an affiliate of the Association of Christian Religious Practitioners (ACRP) and accredited with the Quality Council for Trades & Occupations (QCTO)- Accreditation Number: QCTOSDP01190524-1661. LANGUAGE AND MODE OF UNDERSTANDING Classes are normally conducted face-to-face. Due to lockdown restrictions, some classes may be taught online. Applicants will need to be able to study via both face-to-face classes and online learning as required during the year. Classes are conducted in English and use a variety of teaching styles. Most of the work is done in class, you will receive homework, assignments, and occasional class tests.
MORNING COURSES Monday – Thursday (8am -12:30pm) Ministry 1: Mondays
Ministry 2: Tuesdays
Ministry 3: Wednesdays To register for this course, you must register for Ministry 1 & 2.
Elective 1 Women Serving Christ: Thursdays To register for this Elective, you must register for Ministry 1.
Elective 2 Engaging with God’s World: Thursdays (may be offered in either or both campuses). To register for this Elective, you must also register for Ministry 2.
To complete our one-year course, you need to complete Ministry 1, 2, 3 & one Elective Course. Please note our courses are carefully put together for people in ministry and it matters which order it is done in.
Time & Venue Face to Face classes are held on Monday to Thursday 8am – 12:30pm at both our campuses.
When face-to-face classes are not possible due to lockdown, material is posted online and are available for collection from college (subject to Government regulations). Fees The class fees are broken down according to how many ‘mornings’ you are registering for, example: if you are only going to register for Monday mornings the cost for the year will be R6 400. Registration: R1000 (non-refundable, payable at registration in 2021) 1 morning: R6400 2 mornings: R7500 3 mornings: R10 800 4 mornings: R12 200 Dates Opening Conference: TBA 2021 Registration (Compulsory): TBA 2021 Orientation (Compulsory): TBA 2021 DUE TO THE COVID -19 PANDEMIC OUR TERM DATES ARE TO BE ANNOUNCED IN 2021 (DEPENDING ON GOVERNMENT REGULATIONS). SOWETO EVENING COURSE Monday and Thursday (6:30-9pm) . Ministry 1, 2 & 3 will be covered over this two-year course. You will need to complete both years to graduate from JBC. Times & Venue Face to Face classes are held on Monday and Thursday evenings from 6:30pm – 9pm at Soweto Campus, 1032 Mbambisa street, Klipspruit, Soweto. When face-to-face classes are not possible due to lockdown, material is posted online and are available for collection from college (subject to Government regulations).
