Term 3 in progress Our third term of four has started with all students accounted for. They are working hard on their Bible Overview Assignments and Preaching Workshops on Exodus. We had a great conference with Conrad Mbewe at the end of last term, and we are looking forward to a conference on Daniel with Vaughan Roberts (21-23 Aug). Our Gospel Partners Lunch that week is on 'Facing Spiritual Battles: lessons from Martin Luther's reflections on Scripture.' Please pray for the recruitment process for January 2018, which is well underway. Staff Changes
We have bid farewell to Glenn Nesbitt who returns to work at St. Ebbes's church in Oxford, and said hello to Kylie Zietsch who has joined us from Sydney. Kylie was a student with us in 2008, and has since been to Moore Theological College and worked as a school chaplain. Please pray for us as we look to grow the team to make the most of the new opportunity in Soweto. Growing Gospel Training Partnerships Please pray for our sister works in Malawi and in Zimbabwe. Several leaders will be joining us for refreshment, training, and strategizing in two weeks time. Accreditation We continue to work through this process to offer an accredited Occupational Qualification in Bible teaching. This is part of a full occupational qualification in ministry. There is a national conference later this month to enable colleges to be ready for this as soon as the government has finalised the terms of this new qualification. We are excited about this as it is a practical qualification in parallel to tertiary education, and we pray will enable us train expository Bible teachers better, in a broad framework, with access to government visas.
